Kwanzaa - Chairperson Yvonne McShay
“With enthusiasm and joy, it is a pleasure to serve as the chairperson for the annual St. Mark Kwanzaa celebration. In 2025, we saw record-breaking attendance as our program focused on youth ages 13 to 22 taking the Kwanzaa pledge. Unlike Christmas, Kwanzaa isn’t a Christian holiday; it is an African American cultural holiday and families celebrate seven principles. “

Men’s Day Program

“As a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and a proud father of two sons, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, it is through God’s blessings, favor, mercy and grace to be honored, loved, and recognized as a father, who is God-Fearing.
Everyday is Father’s Day.
The 2025 Men’s Program will be held on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025.
